Finger Pointing

Monday, June 26th, 2006

i’m actually sick today… combatting some form of respiratory irritation and a fever… but then i felt even more sick after watching the news.. there was this group of people apparently fighting or demanding justice for mediamen and activists that were kidnapped, brutallized or killed… and they were dead serious about it too…

then i started asking myself this question

"they have all the claims, they have all the moves, but do they have the evidence" — MOTHER FUCKER, they DON’T HAVE SHIT!

all these people do are look for publicity and point fingers at whoever they could point fingers at… at this point the president. now im not saying im against justice and rights of mediamen but dude! if you’re gonna do something, you don’t just freakin talk! you gotta have the evidence boy!

that group was out to impeech the president (part 2 they say)… but what the hell are they doing just pointing fingers?! its stupid! their claims would just end up starting a new flame and disordering the current peace that is now around us. gulo nanaman to… every time that things seem to look good for this land, some bunch of moronic people with nothing to do but point fingers and talk shit just comes up claiming this and that… okay lang naman gawin un eh… basta may matibay na ebidensya and bobo naman eh…

Didn’t it ever cross your minds that the reason why this country never got any better is because there are just so many people pointing fingers but only a few of these people actually have solid evidences to their claims? karamihan nga ng sumasali sa rally e walang kamuwang muwang kung bakit sila nagrarallyang tatanga talaga… di na nagbago… nakakahiya… nakakasuka

kagat ng langam

Saturday, June 24th, 2006

i’ve gotta admit that the past few days have been ok… i can’t say that i enjoyed all the classes but they were productive in one way or another.. :) but the highlight of the whole week in 2nd year medicine would be the stories told by the higher levels…

para lang ito kagat ng langam… according to the higher level students, there would come a time in our subject wherein we’d be doing an experiment concerning a vaccine

but then the procedure, as the higher years put it, were kind of… hmm… scary?!

first, we’ll be put in the position such as the above… painful, scary, freaky!… ok i’m exagerating… actually we’d be told to go on a line… and then, one by one, we’d be asked to lift the sleeves of our shirts…

THEN, we’d be rubbed by a piece of cotton containing alcohol to clear our skin of any possible opportunistic organisms… then the same piece of cotton would be used to clean up the cover of an ancient bottle containing a special vaccine…

and then, well it goes on and eventually ends up with us being injected with a yellowish solution that is said to keep us away from certain infectious agents and the one involved in doing the application of the vaccine would simply say ok lang yan para lang yan kagat ng langam accompanied by rapid insertion of the needle into your muscle… good part is possibly, you’d be SAFE from the communicable disease… BAD PART the ff.

1. ancient old bottle = ancient old vaccine

2. you’d get sick for two weeks

3. not exactly an aseptic practice

4. possibility of having numbness and inflammation at sight of innoculation

wah! there has got to be a way to get out of that situation…. it’s just too plain ol’ scary! sheesh…. hopefully that gossip won’t happen this year…. sana maiba ang pangyayari ngayon taon… and that everything myt eventually turn out to be okay in the end… =)

Alcohol

Saturday, June 24th, 2006

hmm.. it was a good day today… one of ‘em rare occasions in which you get what you want out of the day… pathology as usual was very productive especially the 18/20 quiz! "Yei-ah!"…

aside from that i got to be with my long-time-no-see-friends back in DLSU days… it was cool… irony of which was, back in patho we were talking about staying away from alcohol and what i got from the reunion i went to was loads of alcohol!

i had half a bottle of emperador "for the true success" (tunay na tagumpay), i was given a blow job by a couple of girls.. now hold on… it aint THAT kind of blow job… this job is a drink consisting of kahlua, vodka and bailey’s after placing portions of these in a shot glass (without mixing em up) you light it up with a lighter (or any flint you could find) set it on fire and then you drink it either by first blowing off the flame (thus the name blow job) and then drink it through a straw OR you could drink it straight away without putting off the flame…

weird or should i say COOL about that drinking spree was that  i did not get drunk hahahah… ges i prooved that i have high alcohol tolerance.. hehehe… too bad for by girl buddies… hahaha.. i told you guys time and time again that you could never get me drunk… now you know better.. :)

okay i did get off balanced a little bit when i texted cream and turned around to go back up the stairs to enter dhavs’ house but heck i wasn’t no drunk! it was my shoe! believe it or not. :) hehehe

hmm… i just remembered one thing though… that blow job nearly burned my oral cavity!!!! i need to get back on you guys for that…. as a dare by the host, i drank the drink without putting the flame off.. it was nice but then i left some mixture in the shot glass which was asked of me to finish… which i did… Not knowing that the mixture was still on fire! MAN… that blew right off my mouth and set my tears-a-drippin! huhuhuhu… but it DID taste better with the flame on though… hehehe

anyways… time for me to sleep… sana maulit muli sa mga susunod na buwan… i’ll miss you guys… ANIMO LA SALLE!

Havin’ a lil’ of the Good with a lot of the Bad

Sunday, June 18th, 2006

i don’t know about my classmate’s opinion but…. the first week of classes SUCKED! i should’ve just stayed home for most of the week and just come around saturday afternoon!

the doctors that were supposed to be at our class were not there… except for pathology and pharma which was somewhat the good that i had this week… it was a slow week… well not that slow actually… slow meaning there was more waiting than there was with workin which just doesn’t feel right to me.

i have never felt so weak lazy and tired in my entire school life until this first week of class… GOD! it was BORING!!! i could’ve had more fun sleeping or walking my circus dog… geez… no wonder i hardly saw the 2nd years (now 3rd years) attending classes last year..

aside from the bore, it was definitely quite a waste of energy, uniform and allowance… doin laundry aint exactly an easy thing for a guy y’know… mebbe i should get a laundry lady to do those stuf for me… furthermore, shortage of allowance due to unavoidable circumstances and ofcourse miscalculation and expenditure, just put my wallet on a strict diet this whole month of june… aint no way im gonna let this happen again in the comming months… its hard… :(

i hope this kind of week doesn’t happen again the following weeks of classes for the whole second year…

that’s pretty much of the Bad side

for the good side, i was able to go out and fulfil my emotional needs (which in turn resulted to the strict wallet diet thing) plus, pathology and pharma (i guess) was worth comming to class for… it was a fast lecture… speedier than i could’ve imagined and also very educational.. it did prove that my brain is still a lil rusty and slow after the 2 month break but it is starting to warm up… hope it blows steam before the quizes and long tests start..

about pharma? good part about that is our doctor was familiar with my name… but it also ended up being a bad one because doc decided to give me a harder topic to report than what it was SUPPOSED TO BE thanks to you MITCH! myasthenia gravis would’ve made it a breeze for me to report because I REPORTED THE FREAKIN THING LAST YEAR… now i have to report for freakin LEFT SIDED CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE… geezz…. this should’ve been Alex’s report…

but then luckily i happen to browse through this site about heart problems (physiological not emotional) and hmm… wasn’t that hard after all.. hehehe… got me worried in the beginning.. hopefully the good doctors won’t make it hard for me when i deliver the report… :)

Mall of Asia

Sunday, June 11th, 2006

its sunday and tomorrows independence day… i guess around twenty thousand other people had the same idea that my cousins and i had which is to pay a visit to the biggest mall in the Philippines (probably around asia as well)… the day started out slow the ride took freakin 60mins to get to where we were at… when we finally got to the big ass mall… all of a sudden i realized one thing…

the FREAKIN THING AINT BIG ENOUGH! not that im not impressed by the massive land area… just that there were so many freaking people around! it was like entering a giant ant hill and you have to line up with all those other ants in zigzag fashion…

it was packed just EVERYWHERE! i mean if you were a guy who’s got that phobia bout crowded places, you wouldve collapsed the moment you stepped off your vehicle…. i mean there we were off to have lunch the moment we got to the mall and guess what? each place is just packed up… there wasnt even a single place to sit and eat your meal…. unless ofcourse you waited right at a table for the people there to finish their meal… stare at em make em feel uncomfortable so that they’d stand up and leave and then you could have their seat instead… that was how packed the whole place was.. and it stayed that way till we left at around 6pm…

it was what i’d call a good experience in terms of gimiks coz there wasn’t pretty much stuff to do because of all the freakin people… you wont be able to buy a freakin chewing gum at the counter because of the long que…. it was tyring and despite the numbers, i didn’t get to see any freakin beauty queen around…
